Ubongo Simulations is an AI-powered platform that helps African university instructors create immersive learning experiences. We're looking for educators to shape what we build.
PARTNERED WITH EDUCATORS AT
To empower African university instructors with AI-powered tools that make experiential learning accessible, affordable, and contextually relevant, built through genuine co-creation, not extraction.
A future where every African university student has access to world-class experiential learning, simulations that reflect their context, their challenges, and their aspirations.
WHAT WE'RE BUILDING
From medical case studies to business negotiations, Ubongo Simulations gives instructors
the tools to create realistic, interactive learning scenarios.
Describe a learning objective. The AI generates a multi-path simulation with realistic characters, decisions, and consequences.
Students step into real-world roles, policy analyst, entrepreneur; making decisions that shape the simulation's outcome.
Track how students navigate choices, where they struggle, and what they learn, giving you clear insights into comprehension.
WHY WE NEED YOU
Most edtech products are designed in Silicon Valley and dropped into African classrooms. We're taking a different approach. We believe the best tools come from deep collaboration with the people who'll use them every day.
SIMPLE PROCESS
Our user research sessions are relaxed, structured, and designed to
respect your time.
Tell us about your courses, your students, and the challenges you face. 30 minutes, virtual.
We'll share our early concepts and prototypes. You tell us what works, what doesn't, and what's missing. 30 minutes.
Have a Figjam post it session ideating on how better to make a simulation software that serves African learners.
"The tools we use in our classrooms should reflect the realities of our students. We know what works here — we just need partners who'll listen."
WHO WE ARE
We're a small, mission-driven team with deep roots in education,
technology, and Africa.
Former education technology researcher with 8+ years working with universities across Ghana, Kenya, and Nigeria. PhD in Learning Sciences from Stanford.
Product designer and former university instructor. Built simulation-based curricula for medical education in Lagos. MSc in Human-Computer Interaction.
AI engineer specializing in natural language processing and simulation design. Previously built educational AI tools at scale. Cambridge graduate.
We're inviting 30 university instructors across Africa to join our founding research cohort. Sessions are virtual, compensated, and on your schedule.
